Your screens can only fit so much so acronyms are needed to keep everything neat and tidy. Here are the definitions to help you understand more clearly. (An orange coloured box means that the transfer is not yet scheduled and needs to be.)


POD – Place of Death

Where your client passed away


Transfer

When the transfer occurred or is booked in for


From

Where the client is brought into your care from (the yellow coloured box indicates that the transfer is scheduled for tomorrow)


By

The staff who brought the client into your care


Complete

Has the transfer been completed.
Yes or No


COD

Cause of Death
Has the cause of death certificate or coroners release form been received
Received or Not Received


GMO

General Medical Officer
The status of the second doctor for cremation. Is this doctor:
N/A (Not applicable)
Req (Required)
Booked (Doctor has been organised)
Auth (Authorised)


Medical Referee

The registered doctor booked to sign authorising cremation paperwork


Action

Any information to be passed on requiring action taken

Location, Staff allocated and time will fill out here. (A red box means that no arrangement is booked yet)

Has the arrangement been completed.

A green box means that the arrangement or transfer is scheduled for today and a grey box means that it was scheduled in the past and might need moving forward
